[ Story ]

Yukiji, a geisha of Kyoto and an outstanding dancer, goes to Tokyo with two other geisha to appear in a fashion show where she meets Kotaro, who is working as a truck driver to help his younger sister.
During her short stay, they enjoy each other's company and Kotaro falls in love with her. When Yukiji returns to Kyoto, she is unable to forget about him. A trucking job enables Kotaro to go to Kyoto but he is unable to meet her because of the strict rules of the Gion District. However, because Yukiji has a promising future as a dancer he gives her up and when they meet in Maruyama Park for the last time, the cherry blossoms are falling, as if to symbolize the end of their brief love.
